With help from all of you, we were able to raise a grand total of $3,345.00 through our Hearts For Uganda Fundraiser. All of us here at Star City Recycling are beyond grateful for each and every contribution, as none of this could have been done without you! Every donation aided in the construction and maintenance of a brand new school, courtesy of the Uganda based non-profit organization CCF Uganda, supporting the development of at-risk youth through housing, schooling, food and stability.

Kisalama Aggrey, the founder and director of CCF Uganda reached out to us to pass along the following message:

"Thank you for your donation towards CCF Uganda school & land. Your generosity means everything to us and to the community we serve.
​
We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating, and we are so grateful that you chose to donate to our cause. We promise to be responsible stewards of both your donation and your trust. We have a lot of work to do, and your generous donation helps us get that important work done."

The time has come for us to select the three winners of the 2023 Hearts For Uganda fundraiser. All names were entered along with their total amount of entries, and the three winners were chosen at random:
​
First prize is awarded to T. F. (2 entries), winning one year of free recycling service
Second prize is awarded to J. S. (50 entries), winning six months of free recycling service
Third prize is awarded to A. D. (10 entries), winning three months of free recycling service
​
Emails will be sent out to all three winners notifying them of their prize, including further instructions to get the free service credited to their account, as well as a personal message from the founder and director of CCF Uganda, Aggrey Kisalama.
​
Once again we would like to thank each and every participant in this year's fundraiser, as your contributions have worked to changed the lives of countless children throughout the streets of Uganda. Your kindness and generosity knows no bounds, and as always, thank you for helping us to impact our world from home.
